Power Of Attorney

A Financial Power of Attorney is a document that allows an individual (the "principal") to appoint another person (the "agent") to perform specified acts of a financial nature on behalf of the principal. The power of attorney can be broad and all encompassing, or limited in nature. The power of attorney can also be written to take effect immediately, or upon the occurance of a specified event (e.g., upon incapacity, as certified by a medical doctor).
