Q.What is a General Power of Attorney?

A.A general power of attorney typically gives the attor¬ney-in- fact very broad powers to perform any legal act on behalf of the principal (e.g. handle all financial affairs). A specific list of the types of activi¬ties the attorney- in-fact is authorized to perform (or not perform) should be included in any general power of attorney document.
