Q.Do I really need a lawyer to write a Will? Can't I buy a software program, or use an online service?
A.There is no law that requires a Will to be prepared by an attorney. However, there are many pitfalls into which home-made Wills often fall. We strongly suggest that at the very least you consult a Wills, Trusts and Estate attorney before you draft or execute a Will. If you have used a software program, or online service to prepare your Will, we strongly suggest you have it reviewed by a local licensed Wills, trusts, and estate attorney. The cost should be minimal.
