Q.What Happens if I am the Trustee and I later become incompetent?

A.If you become incompetent or pass away, your designated Successor Trustee (the person you named) steps into your shoes and manages the trust assets for you. Your named Successor Trustee in your trust document should be a highly trustworthy and honest relative, friend, or a professional fiduciary.
