Q.What is a trust?
A.A trust is a legal document used for holding, transferring or otherwise disposing or property. It hopefully consists of assets that were transferred from the original owner (person who created the trust, or Grantor) and placed in the name of the trust. A trust is managed and distributed by a Trustee (generally the Grantor) to benefit one or more Beneficiaries (those persons or organizations the Grantor wants to leave his assets to when she or he passes away).
