Q.What is the difference between a word mark and a design logo?

A.A word mark generally provides the broadest coverage, and prevents others from using the same name on the same products in any fashion -- both in a non-stylized manner (typed) or stylized fashion (script or design logo). A design logo or mark, on the other hand, prohibits others from using a logo containing similar design elements that may be confusing to potential customers purchasing similar products.
