Q.If I am starting a business, where else can I go for help?
A.A good place to start, other than this website, is your local Chamber of Commerce, which has over 2500 offices across the nation. Another place you can look is the Small Business Administration (SBA), which has offices in nearly every major city.
The SBA operates a toll-free "Answer Desk" at 1-800-8-ASK-SBA that provides its callers with direct referrals to various sources of information. In addition, the SBA sponsors a variety of counselling, training and information services including: the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), Business Information Centers (BICs) and Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs).
