Q.What is an End User License Agreement?

A.An end user license agreement ("EULA") is a software license between the software publisher (licensor) and the end user (licensee). A software license can either be a typed contract or a click-through agreement, which is more often the case. During the installation process. The end-user is asked to actively click a button or check a box denoting his or her agreement to be bound by the terms of the software license. If the end user does not agree, the installation process is aborted. Software licenses serve to protect the licensor's copyright and trademark and to disclaim liability in the event of any unforeseen circumstances that might arise as a consequence of using the software, such as a computer crash, loss of data, loss of income, etc…
