A.An intellectual property license grants the permission for an individual or business to take some action with respect to whatever is being licensed (e.g., software, film clip, invention, etc…). The type of action (to make, use, sell, distribute, modify, copy, etc.) and the degree of permission ( time period, exclusively or non-exclusively, etc.) are up to the parties to negotiate as part of the license agreement.
