Q.Is an employer required to pay for Jury Duty?

A.There is no law in California that requires an employer to pay for Jury Duty. The only states which presently require an employer to pay an employee his or her wages, in whole or in part, while serving on a jury are: Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nebraska, and New York.
