- Front pay
- Reasonable accommodation
- Affirmative relief
- Actual damages
- Damages for emotional distress up to $150,000
If an individual decides to pursue his or her case in a private lawsuit, the remedies are identical with two exceptions: (1) There is no $150,000 limit on the amount of emotional distress damages and (2) instead of administrative fines, the individual may ask the court for unlimited punitive damages.
