Q.What do I need to know about pricing my products and services?
A.The terms of your sale, including pricing terms, payment terms, allowances, etc. must be non-discriminatory. If you are selling products to the retail or wholesale trade, you need to sell on equal terms to competing outlets retailing your products, unless you can economically justify different terms (e.g., high volume, one store pays cash on delivery, one store does not have the right to return, one store requires special packaging, etc.). For example, you cannot sell one hundred funbooks to travel company A for $300 and sell an identical batch of one hundred funbooks to a competing travel company for $100 without an economic justification.
How do I price my product?Advertising laws govern how you price your product, the pricing of your product, and product pricing.
