Q.Is the HOA required to give me a copy of the minutes of homeowners' meetings?

A.The answer in part depends on what is contained in the association's bylaws or CC&Rs (Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions). Either the bylaws or the CC&Rs may require the homeowners association ("HOA") to actually distribute the minutes of meetings to the individual homeowners. If the bylaws and CC&Rs are silent on the issue, California law requires the HOA to prepare and maintain minutes of all homeowner meetings, and to make them available to homeowners for inspection on written demand at any reasonable time for any reasonable purpose.
