Q.How can a homeowner get a copy of the Bylaws?

A.The homeowner's association (HOA) is required to provide copies of all of the governing documents (Articles, Bylaws, and Declaration of Covenants Conditions and Restrictions) to any homeowner who makes a written request. While the HOA may charge a fee to copy these documents, the fee cannot exceed the actual costs of reproduction. Copies of maps, plans and the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions ("CC&Rs") can be obtained directly from the county recorder's office and from most title insurance companies.
