Q.How old must you be to form a valid contract?

A.In most states, an individual must be age 18 or older to enter into a valid and binding contract, unless the agreement is for "necessities." Necessities may include food and clothing. A contract made by a person under the age of 18 is voidable at the will of the minor as long as the age impediment exists.
