Q.If a vendor cancels at the last minute, do I have any legal recourse?

A.If you entered into a contract with a vendor and the vendor breaches it by failing to perform his obligations, then you may have a cause of action for breach of contract if you can show the breach harmed you financially and that the vendor refuses to make restitution. However, if the vendor refunds the purchase price, or refunds your deposit, going to court to recoup any added expenses you incurred may not be worth the time and expense. Of course, if your added expenses run into the thousands of dollars, you might want to pursue this option.

small business laws, contract, contract law, contract remedies, oral contract, written contract, purchase order, contract cancellation, cancel contract.
